Thrifty? Imaginative? Or just plain Tightass? lol

This has been in the planning for a couple of weeks now. I have slowly but surely uploaded the photos to save.. I don't know about you but it usually takes me 3 attempts before the 'add to post' bit doesn't crash /sigh.. but I get there in the end....

Anyway... you can be the judge of what this is ;)

For a while I have done a lot of 'crafty preparation' die cutting things, cutting things out with scissors on the days my hands are behaving etc.. and I don't know about you but I have a box that I put things in.. that could 'come in' at some point..I hate to throw things away!.. anyway I had quite a few large brown thickish envelopes in there so decided one day when I was *very* close to throwing them out to cut them into wee shapes that I could add to cards in the future

I was very impressed they looked like 'shop bought' brown paper only better quality lol...

...so impressed, actually, that I cut out some brown and pink ones in the same shapes so that I could layer them at some point :)

.. this cutting out lasted a looong old while...quite few days on and off... but I now have little bundles of shapes in various colours that I can add to cards when I can't do one start-to-finish ... most of the time, actually at the mo hehehe....

..and also the one a couple of Rockin Fridays ago..

So.. thrifty or tightass on the brown paper front? Who knows but what I do know is that preparation makes for a much more chilled out Myz craft wise... do any of you prepare things like this or am I just superweird? lol

What's been Rockin in MyzWorld this week?

It's been a tough week with much stupid having-to-lay-down-ness and stupid people which has meant for the meantime I have left Facebook for my own sanity lol.. might be back before this goes 'live' as I got really lonely but i doubt it lol....but there were a few times during the week I have been letting out a 'yeay' so here are my positives... btw if some things don't make sense don't try to understand them- I have been writing this all week so it's probably difficult to follow and very tangent-tastic :)

(1) Going Out!

Yeah you heard me.. GOIN OUT!... I walked slowly but confidently acrosss the square and had tea and a chat with my friend about 60 paces away lol... the chattiness and general being outness made me have 2 days mostly complete downtime after but.. YEAY OUT!!!!! I am hoping to do this more often and hopefully at some point there will be less downtime after.. I only wish she crafted... my nearest crafty friend lives in South Yorks so that's completely out... I don't know anyone near although they have craft events in Darlington that would take me and make sure I don't fall over (very embarrassing that! lol) .. and my crafty friend that visits once in a while got herself up the duff so she hasn't been up here in about...2 years it seems ;P

(2) Teacher presents

Been working on wooden hanging apple whatsits for a while now and this week my thoughts are sort of going the right way.. I think.... I even have one..nearly done! :)

(3) The Art of Camouflage

I just can't move about much without much wobbleage at the moment so the best I could do on Little Myz' birthday for her party food was move all the craft stuff to one end of the table :( .. scrappy scrappy... much sad faceage...

..but hey I had an idea!!!!!

Get her princess blanket and put it over!!!!

Not actually that shabby.. lol.. Little Myz was pleased and I even made use of The Mound....

(4) My Guard Dog (lol)

Bless her little doggy paws.. Sophie usually potters about while people get ready for work and school and when they are gone beggars off into a room for a great deal of the day (having thought about it possibly so she doesn't trip me up as I'm not that steady on my feet...) but the past week I haven't even been able to potter and have been in bed and she's been laying right next to me the whole time... and if I am on the sofa she gets up as close as she can to it... so negative- non movement and painage into positive.. aww factor of cuddle-dog

(5) Newfangled Technology

..another neg to pos.... it was Little Myz' assembly today (Well ,Thursday,so yesterday I guess if this goes live when it's supposed to lol..) Wouldn't be able to walk as far as to get to the hall to watch it.. I do hate people staring at me and they do when I wobble or hold onto someone I really have to find a way past it :( .. anyway I digress.... Mr Myz was able to go... again!.... he has great boss I think :) .... and because of newfangled technology he was able to record little videos of it so I could see Little Myz In Action.... and what a proud Mummy I was... Mr Myz spoke to the teacher afterwards and in all their rehearsals it took 15 mins.. apparently 'live' it took 7 .. bless they must have been nervous hehe

..anyway... new technology? THUMBS UP this week :)

I think that might be about it I'm afraid... but woo I WENT OUT! That should count for a whole month of positives!!!! lol

My Rockin' Week :)

Ok since it has been such a long long time since I posted (January??!!?? Really??!!??) I decided to make it a Friday and made it a Rocking post... I mean it would be rude not to... been working on it all week and now I thought it had uploaded and deleted all my work up to it.. and it crashed and I have lost everything

...I am not not not not going to let it stop me... let's see what i remember lol.. after all it would be cheating if it wasn't about this week...surely I can remember what's happened this week?.... ummm... ummmmmmmm...lol....

(1) Foot Spas

To your 'normal' person foot spas are a nice thing to have... for me... they are a complete wonder sent by the Powers That Be to make my life more bearable lol.... Been having loads of foot problems recently up a lot of night with burning feet yadda yadda and usually use this in the bath in the evening to massage my feet

Lovely lovely lovely, makes feet less burny but unfortunately makes me hands and arms hurt instead. A lot. .. but on reflection less night disturbances than without.....

(2) Crafty mojoness

While not back per se it has come in flashes and I have made some stuff even I have been pleased with.. if you haven't seen it you aren't a fan of Myzdamena's World on FB ..sorry but I have to be at PC to make posts on blogger, my phone just refuses to play ball so FB is all I gots most times crafty wise. .. Anyway, here is a sample lol

In case you didn't know I am completely mad/bonkers/batshit .. whatever you would like to call it... I am crazy... I have to be or else I'd go under sometimes... so Little Myz and I have been taking crazy photos of ourselves.. I won't post one of her as I'm sure it will come back and bite me on the ass sometime in the future and she may disown me soo..

She is a continual blessing

(goodness noo we aren't The Waltons and she gets on my tits daily.....but even so...)

I spent some time making some hair clips for her birthday today and she's always really enthusiastic about what i manage to make for her

Very into Moshi Monsters so Great Mummy to make a card lol

Those of you that know me will know how superglued my hands were after making these and how many ended up in the bin ;)

I put the ladybird ones in her hair without her seeing and told her to go upstairs and look into my mirror...you could hear her SQUEEEEEE from downstairs lol

(6) Sapphire Montague

Those of you who are FB friends will know that this is my 'new name' lol... partly because of the whole excitement of The Grey thing and partly seeing the light after a very bad minging year last year... I decided to find out my Porn Name.... apparently you take the name of the first pet you remember and the first street you remember living on.. So I am Sapphire Montague... lol.. it's all fun and definitely better than the worry of last year

(7) Reconnecting with Friends

Although not their fault at all because of Last Year I 'lost' some friends.. they just didn't talk to me in ages and ages and because I was 'off the radar' I thought they had just forgotten me...now I realise that some people were scared to talk to me as they knew how scared I was and didn't know what my reaction would be? ..

(ok I keep writing this next bit and crying so can you pretend this has a middle bit? Kthx..lol)

...but they are back now for the most part and yeay for that :)

Hmm ok I had 10 and now I have 7 but here is what i remember from my list I was compiling all week

I had better post this before the whole thing crashes again. lol... but just see what you can glean out of a week that hasn't exactly been all roses... with quite a bit of manure in actually lol... and then let me know

so i can come and have a lookie cos I'm really nosey like that.. and I can read blogs on my phone.. just about... just can't write with blogger for some strange reason

Freaky Dreams...

Ok so...

I'm here but nothing crafty really to share as you all are fans of Myz designs on FB anyway so you saw all my Xmas stuff right? Nobody really commented so it must have been complete shite..hehe...

So....

I thought I'd share a dream I had last night lol.... not well at all at the moment and when I'm not I have very freaky dreams... usually very very scary ones.. think it's because I get very hot or something I dunno.... aaanyway

I was walking through town with someone I haven't a clue who (the fact I was walking thru town should have told me at once it was a dream lol) and we went into a little clock and watch shop (even though whoever I was with wasn't keen to go in at all I had to persuade them) and behind the counter was Ian Hislop .. they had lovely clocks and watches in there but I looked to the left as I came in and on the table was a whole load of groceries... some of which had been opened (like a 4 pack of Snackajacks where one had been taken out) There were cans of lemonade and some dates (one of those was missing too)

Ian told us that they were having a raffle and one person would get it all .. it was £1 and I thought I am going to win this... somehow I knew I was going to win so I gave over my money and he gave me a ticket....

Next thing I knew I was awake with the burning burning feet again so blundered downstairs for my usual feet-on-floor cool down and a cup of tea.....

..anyone know anything about dreams? lol.... am I just mega weird?

Library Fun!

(a joint collaboration with Little Myz)

I went to the library in Colburn last weekend and they had a dinosaur making hour on. yeay! I went in the 6-11 year old section and the 5s and under were coming out as me and Mummy went in .. we were the only people in our session! ... but the Sports Centre has a fun day on so everyone else was probably there. Mummy said it was a good thing as she can't take the noise so a quiet library was her cup of tea- Mummy likes cups of tea....

The lady who was running the session was called Ruth- I like Ruth she is very kind and helpful and always has a big smile on her face.

I cut out my dinosaur finger puppets

I was so proud of my puppets





Thank you Ruth for making it such a fun day for Mummy and me.... they have something going on every month. If you live near Colburn maybe you can come and have a play next month?

Don't Faint....

.....but after 2 mths here is a blog post!... and it's crafty related! :0

*waits for certain people to pick themselves up off the floor* lol

Painted wooden stuff aside (if you aren't a FB fan you won't know what I'm on about but that's your fault :p ) I haven't really been doing much crafty wise. Plenty of resting has been in evidence so hopefully things will look up soon crafty wise- being stuck in house is all well and good when you can craft but when you can't it's a rather dire state of affairs...

Aaaanyway, I had an idea (I do sometimes!) of making some 'easy' cards .. which have the bonus of Little Myz being able to craft alone too as they don't need supervision- boooonus! So here are some expensive-but-cool Kanban Flying Fairy tunnel cards



Aren't they dinky? Can you tell which one was made by Little Myz? ;)

They can be folded into an a5 envelope too.. woooo



I also made another one but forgot to take a photo before I sent it lol but it's much the same ;)

I love kanban and Hunkydory stuff but it's so expensive.. although I guess you get what you pay for - you know you're not going to get crud from them lol

Rocking Your World Friday

Bit tough week but going to hang on in there because of these things (and prob loads of things can't remember- sorry xx)

Was Little Myz' birthday this week and she made me feel so happy going on and on about the card I managed to make her (have I posted it yet? Sorry if i haven't... world a bit upside down right now..) saying how great it was .. making me feel a little less than totally useless lol

Yes I know pretty sad but sometimes it's the only thing that can make me laugh and sometimes those laughs are very huge... not a clue why it get me that way but it does :)



Staying The Same

As posted on fatty fat fat blog I have stayed the same this month which believe me is a lot better feeling than gaining.. it's weird tho as I look better in my clothes i am wearing smaller clothes and look smaller... but I am up about half a stone from my original 3.5 stone loss.... it's a mystery.... but staying the same? .. Defo A Good Thing...



I love slimming world food.. look at this:



Tastes as good as KFC... well to me.. in fact better as we tried KFC a few months ago and it made me ill- all that fat... never though I'd go off it lol

Ok so I have been gaining but it's prob something going on inside of me as I look smaller.. and unless someone has gone through my wardrobe and put bigger sizes in there I *am* smaller.. weirdness... so keeping on with SW is prob doing at least *something* in there :)

Anyway I think that's it...and I really hope this made sense my brain is still asleep I think :/
