Everything's going boobies up...

Having not had a very excellent few days I decided to try some 'easy' cards.... however it didn't turn out that way... I thought the idea of packs was that you had the hard thinking done for you and you just had to calmly arrange the bits on the card...ahh decoupage.... nice...comforting... relaxing...

....it didn't exactly turn out like that..... I have this pack from one of the lots I have bought in the past..it looks easy... but as you can see in the second photo with the card I *finally* managed to make after 90 mins... skinny-legged fairies are not easy to cut out.... I kept cutting things off accidentally that shouldn't have been cut off so I ended up with just the decoupaged fairy and two heads of a flower.... and this was the one I picked out from 12 others as looking 'the easiest' ... should I give up now? ... swap them?...burn them?..... lol.... answers on a postcard or a comment before my head totally blows up please...how *are* you supposed to cut these out????

*siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh* .... hope you are having a more productive week, and if you are please send some ability my way before all my cardmaking stuff ends up on the bonfire....... grrrrrrrrrrrr... lol

  1. Erm... pass. decoupage and me don't go - I hear it requires something called patience - something which I am renowned for having very little of ;) Devon on the other hand absolutely loves decoupage. She's bonkers!

I think the card is absolutely lovely btw.

  2. Fab card!! I think the only way round it would be to leave a white border all the way round. Next time by die cut decoupage :) x

  3. Nah die cut decoupage is fer wimps I tells ya! ... it didn't cost me much as was in a huge bundle it's just I can't understand how anyone is supposed to make it the way it's on the sheet... leaving a border round it, it won't marry up with the bottom layers so I guess you need one of those computer laser cutters or something so that it's done to within a mm and doesn't cut her legs off lol.... Well I'm sure getting a pile ready for a swaps forum anyway....not that anyone would be interested in 'I can't cut' decoupage and 'oldie' invertage anyway....heheh
